This inspiration is expressed throughout the EXP 10 Speed 6, where iconic Bentley design cues are fused with progressive craftsmanship techniques and modern technologies.
Wolfgang Dürheimer, Chairman and Chief Executive of Bentley Motors, comments: “Following on from its global debut last month in Geneva where it was the star of the show, the EXP 10 Speed 6 is now here in China, our second biggest market, to share our vision for Bentley’s future. This concept showcases modern automotive design, highly skilled British handcrafting, the finest materials and advanced performance technology. New style and technology for luxury grand touring
Bentley is unveiling a suite of new luxury design upgrades and features to its Continental family of grand tourers in Shanghai.
The Bentley Continental GT is refreshed with a complement of new exterior design features, aimed at sharpening the on-road presence of the iconic Grand Tourer. A new front bumper combines with a smaller radiator shell and new, more pronounced fenders to lend a more assertive and confident stance to the front of the car. Enhancing the GT’s iconic silhouette further, three new paint colours are available.
The upgrades continue inside the luxury cabin of the Continental range with a new and contemporary interior including new seat patterns, brightware elements, driver instruments, steering wheel and gear paddles. New material options and hide colours complete the refresh. Onboard WiFi, providing connectivity to all handheld devices in the car is also now available across the Continental family.
The mighty 6.0-litre twin turbo W12 engine receives a power and torque increase, from 575 PS (567 bhp / 423 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb.ft) to 590 PS (582 bhp / 434 kW) and 720 Nm (531 lb.ft), to maintain the model’s reputation of effortless performance. The power upgrade is accompanied by improvements to fuel economy and efficiency.
Luxury of choice extended on Flying Spur
The Flying Spur, Bentley’s best-selling model in China, is on display in Shanghai showcasing additional features and offering even more bespoke choice.
The exquisite cabin of the Flying Spur gains modern and tactile new features for 2015 to maintain Bentley’s reputation for interior style and usability. Complementing the feature upgrades are new paint colours in the hues of Marlin, Camel and Jetstream – as per the Continental GT – and the addition of Shortbread and Camel hides to the extensive range of leathers.
Pinnacle luxury with enhanced efficiency
The updated Mulsanne also joins the line-up at Auto Shanghai. Tailored for the driver, the Mulsanne is the flagship of the Bentley range with its exquisite blend of effortless driveability and unrivled luxury.
For 2015 the Mulsanne receives efficiency upgrades through new engine hardware, with its 512 PS (505 bhp / 377 kW), 1,020 Nm (752 lb.ft) 6¾-litre twin turbo V8 engine now 13% more efficient.
Changes have also been made to the gearbox calibration of the Mulsanne, focusing on smoother, relaxed gear changes that promote a comfortable and refined driving experience.
New paint colours, hide and veneers options are also available across the Mulsanne family.
Bentley’s international GT3 racing programme expands in 2015
The 2015 season will see the continued growth of the Bentley international motorsport programme, with Works-supported teams racing in six different series across four continents and customers taking their Continental GT3s to an ever-expanding selection of new countries and GT races.

Bentley entered into the GT Asia Series last year with Bentley Team Absolute Racing and enjoyed a promising start. This season, the calendar has been expanded to incorporate 12 races across Korea, Japan, China, Malaysia and Thailand.
The Continental GT3 is Bentley’s purest expression of speed. The racecar explores the potential of the Continental GT in its most extreme form, exploiting the performance and endurance DNA in every road-going Bentley.

DRIVER POWER - Jaguar celebrates a quartet of great results in the AE Driver power 2015 results.
- Jaguar XJ tops executive car class and finishes seventh overall in the Driver Power top 100
- Jaguar F-TYPE finishes second in the sports car category, with the XK in third
- The Jaguar XF scores best-in-class for ride quality, finishing fourth in the executive car class
- Strong scores and rankings prove the current Jaguar model line-up is a hit with owners
Jaguar has scored an impressive set of results in this year’s Auto Express Driver Power customer satisfaction survey with an executive car category win, second and third place in the sports car category and several best-in-class awards.
Top of the executive car table was the Jaguar XJ, scoring 92.46 per cent for customer satisfaction. Owners praised the flagship luxury saloon for its eye-catching styling and winning blend of comfort, performance and in-car technology.
Plaudits also came for the XJ’s ease of use and, thanks to its aluminium construction and efficient 3.0-litre V6 petrol and diesel, and 5.0-litre V8 supercharged engines, its running costs. As a result, the XJ finished comfortably inside the overall top ten, in seventh place.
The Jaguar F-TYPE finished second in the sports car category in its Driver Power survey debut. As you’d expect for a Jaguar sports car, owners sung the praises of the F-TYPE’s blistering performance and its handling, seat comfort and ride quality.
Finishing just behind the F-TYPE was the XK, which won plaudits for its glamorous looks, ease of use and comfort. Owners ranked the XK as second overall in terms of performance.
Completing an excellent run of results was the XF, which was voted best-in-class for ride quality and finished a brilliant fourth overall in the executive car class. Owners eulogised about how easy it is to drive and also how impressive its performance is, with top ten finishes in both these categories
Steve Fowler, Editor-in-chief of Auto Express said: “Jaguar has stormed back to the top in the Driver Power ratings recently, and its cars continue to impress owners. The XJ took an impressive victory in the executive class and finished in the top 10 overall. Jaguar’s sports cars also score highly with owners – both the F-Type and XK/R ranked highly in Driver Power 2015.”
Jeremy Hicks, Jaguar Land Rover UK Managing Director, said: “We’re enormously proud of these results as they’re proof that the Jaguar range is strong across the board, with all our cars winning praise from owners whether they are looking for a comfortable executive car or a thrilling sports coupé. What is even more exciting is that with the XE, new XF and F-PACE on the way, the Jaguar line-up is only going to get stronger.”
Earlier this month, Jaguar Land Rover UK launched a new Approved Used Programme offering increased benefits and peace of mind to customers wishing to buy a used Jaguar.
It provides vehicles under five years old and under 100,000 miles with a premium-sector leading two-year unlimited mileage warranty, 165 checks and a consequential damage guarantee up to the vehicle purchase price.
Vehicles purchased through the programme also get an independent history and mileage check, MOT cover, complimentary seven-day drive away insurance, UK and Europe road side assistance and a 30-day/1,000 mile vehicle exchange policy.

Porsche continues to expand sales with a 43% increase in Q1 against 2014.
Sports car manufacturer now has close to 23,000 employees
Porsche boosts deliveries, revenue and profit in first quarter
Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG has started 2015 successfully, with growth in deliveries, revenue and profit in the first quarter. From January to March inclusive, the sports car manufacturer delivered 51,102 new cars – 32 per cent more than in the same period last year.
Revenue in the first three months of 2015 increased 29 per cent to 5.08 billion euros, and operating profit surpassed the previous year’s figure by ten per cent at 765 million euros.
The number of employees also grew 12 per cent to 22,945.
Matthias Müller, the Chairman of the Executive Board at Porsche AG, explained that the sports car manufacturer would stay on course for a successful business year in 2015.
A key reason for this is the sales success of the new compact SUV Macan, which was introduced last year and will be available for a full 12 months for the first time in 2015. Other highlights are new versions of existing models.
These include the GT models – the 911 GT3 RS and Cayman GT4 – as well as the Boxster Spyder and the Panamera Exclusive.
"Our successful vehicle derivatives strategy lets us satisfy the wishes of many customers who want to own a comprehensively personalised vehicle," said CEO Matthias Müller.
Lutz Meschke, Member of the Executive Board Finance and IT at Porsche AG, called attention to the company's continuously high profitability.
"The first quarter result of 765 million euros reflects our healthy cost structure and the high profitability of Porsche", the CFO explained. In light of present currency trends, Lutz Meschke is also optimistic that "with regard to the full fiscal year, we will reach last year's profit at a minimum. We will continue to hold to our strategic returns target of 15 per cent.”
Key factors on the debit side are outlays for future model series and future technologies, as well as high investments in the extension and renovation of Porsche production sites.
Research and development costs have nearly doubled at Porsche over the past three years, in particular due to expenses for alternative drives.
In the current year, research and development costs will once again run at around nine to 10 per cent of sales, said Lutz Meschke. This figure represents an extremely high rate in an industry comparison.
MIAS 2015: The 2015 Mazda Collection Impresses
Mazda Philippines’s sprawling and intimidating 1,000 square-meter space at the Manila International Auto Show is a strong show of force and for very good reason. Just last year, Mazda achieved a milestone with overall sales almost doubling that of 2013. The end tally shows them selling more than 3,200 units overtaking Subaru in the process. Of course, the giant showcase isn’t just for celebration. They’ve used the occasion to strategically launch 13 all-new or significantly updated new models for 2015. In short, if you’re buying a car that’s not a Mazda, you better hold off that purchase.
