The production version of the new Volkswagen Tiguan will present in 2016




Company Volkswagen plans to begin European sales of the new generation of crossover Tiguan next year, according to Autocar. The prototype vehicle will be first shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show, which will begin in September 2015. The serial version of the crossover can be presented at the Auto Show in Detroit in January 2016. At the moment, Volkswagen engineers continue to test new products on the roads in Europe. Judging from the spy photos, the car will look like a smaller copy Touareg. Models get five and seven-seater version. According to the managing director of Volkswagen Australia John White, a completely redesigned Tiguan will look "phenomenal." The crossover will be built on the platform MQB, the new product will be significantly lighter than its predecessor. According to preliminary data, the new generation of the car will be longer than 5.5 centimeters and get shorter front overhang. In the engine range will include new items 1.4, 1.8 and 2.0-liter petrol units. There will also be available two diesel engines of 1.6 and 2.0 liters. Later it will be presented and hybrid versions of the crossover. The structure of the power plant will include a 1.4-liter gasoline turbo engine and an electric motor. The total capacity of the hybrid version of the car will make 215 horsepower. In addition, Volkswagen is planning to add to its model line, two new crossover. The first model will be located on the lower level of the new Tiguan. On world markets crossover will compete with the Renault Captur, Jeep Renegade and Fiat 500X. Most likely, the novelty will be a production version of the concept Taigun, which was introduced two years ago at the motor show in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Volkswagen also develop a crossover, which in the model line group takes place above the Tiguan. The car is built on the basis of the concept CrossBlue, however, the novelty becomes more and more luxurious the prototype.
