Nissan introduces 190 HP 1.6-liter turbo petrol engine for Pulsar
Already on sale
Nissan has launched a 1.6-liter turbo unit for the Pulsar model.
Announced at the premiere of the car in May last year, the 1.6 DIG-T engine is “the sportiest and most powerful engine to be offered in the range”, as the Japanese company explains. It has 190 HP (140 kW), while the maximum torque stands at 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) from 2,000 rpm to 4,000 rpm. These figures are enough for a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint in 7.7 seconds.
Nissan says the engine is generating “more with less” - despite its “athletic performance”, it returns an average 4.75 l/100 km (49.5 mpg) and has CO2 emissions of 134 g/km.
In addition to the more powerful engine, Nissan has also retuned the suspension and the steering system, while the body shell has been stiffened. The car also benefits from new rear dampers and wider 18-inch wheels.
The Nissan Pulsar DIG-T 190 is already available to order with prices starting at 19,645 GBP (27,180 EUR).
