Lincoln Continental concept unveiled, previews an all-new production model
Lincoln's revival is kicking into high gear as the company has unveiled the stylish Continental concept at the New York Auto Show.Described as elegant and effortlessly powerful, the Continental previews an all-new full-size model that will be introduced sometime next year.
While the car's styling has been criticized for borrowing too cues from the Bentley Flying Spur, the Continental is a departure for Lincoln as it features sleek lines and an all-new grille that flanked by LED matrix headlights with laser-assist high beams. The concept also has push button "E-Latch" door handles and 21-inch polished-aluminum wheels.
The upscale styling continues in the cabin as there's chrome trim and Venetian leather seats with Alcantara inserts. The concept also boasts a satin headliner, shearling wool carpets, LED ambient lighting and a Revel Ultima audio system.
Rear seat passengers aren't left out as there's two reclining rear seats which are separated by a floating center console with "tablet-supporting" tray tables. Other notable highlights include a champagne storage compartment and Venetian leather travel cases are mounted on the back of the front seats.
Lincoln was coy on performance specifications but confirmed the concept is powered by an exclusive 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 engine.
