Mercedes GLA 200 by VATH
We admit that when it comes to tuning news we tend to cover only powerful and expensive exotic cars. That is because they are simply far more interesting than cheap and cheerful models. But it’s not fair on the average car buyers, so let’s check out this Mercedes GLA upgraded by VATH.
Based on the A-Class hatchback, Mercedes GLA is a compact and efficient crossover suitable for use in the urban environment. But with only 156 horsepower and 250 Nm in standard form, the GLA 200 is not really what you call fun. You could get the GLA 45 AMG, but the problem with that one is that with 360 horsepower it could be a bit much for most people.
The solution here is to send your Mercedes GLA 200 to VATH and have it fitted with the V20 tuning kit for 850 Euro (plus 200 Euro for installation), whereupon the power output jumps to 185 hp and 310 Nm of torque. You could have a fairly good time with that.
If your pockets are deep, you may also want to spend 1,690 Euro (plus 250 Euro for mounting) on the VA stainless steel down pipe sports exhaust system with 200 cells. There is even a valvetronic system available with 110 x 90 mm tailpipes, but it costs a whopping 2,890 Euro.
Another item you may want to add to your shopping list while you are at VATH is a set of their 18-inch rims which come for the front axle in 8.5 x 18” size (420 Euro) and on the rear in 9.5 x 18” (444 Euro).
